The Derby theme is a 3rd party Genesis Framework Theme created for any type of business. Derby is clean, modern and flexible, with everything that you need to make an impact in the blogging world.
On the homepage, under the logo bar, there is a decent size widget to add a responsive slider plugin. You can showcase your latest blog posts and products, or gear visitors towards specific pages.
Derby has plenty more widgets to set up and customize. If you check out the demo version, you’ll see a space for the latest tweet you sent out, located under the last comment on the page. This is definitely a cool and unique feature.
This is an excellent business theme for the average blogger. I would suggest you change the background image. I really don’t think it suites this theme at all and is an eye sore. Use a plain colored background and usually light backgrounds is better as that puts the attention on to the theme design and content itself.
Let’s take a look at the general features Derby has.
