On the homepage, you have a sticky menu bar. Under this, you have 2 blocks that you could use for ad space or a banner for a shop item or special promotion. The first widget on the page is square and is in a prime location for a slider plugin. Use this to link to blog posts, pages, and shop items. With the widgets on the homepage, you can add an autoresponder forum, showcase latest blog posts, and display shop items. You also get a sidebar with this theme.
